I'm pretty sure PF Flyers released an official pair of Sandlot Center Hi's a few years ago to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Benny's hopping over that fence to pickle The Beast. But now they have another batch, the Made in USA Sandlot edition. Because there's hero sneaks and there's legend sneaks. And heroes get remembered, but legends never die.
Or something.
Aesthetically, not much has changed about the iconic PF Flyers with the release you see here. Same black outers, laces, and soles, same vertically-ribbed toe guard, and same Posture Foundation insert. The debossed leather ankle patch has a different style than the film's, black-and-white instead of green, and with a red "Made in USA" notation instead of "Posture Foundation" written underneath. Additional leather accents surround the heavyweight canvas shoe, including at the toe cap, eyerow, and heel tape.
