SurfEars 3.0 earplugs let you cut off the insides of your ears from the flow of water without cutting them off from the sounds in and around it. Developed by a cold water surfer who suffered an ear infection during a surf trip to Morocco, the customizable SurfEars claim to have virtually no acoustic loss in the frequency range of human speech, but create a seal at the opening of wearers' auditory canals that block out all physical seepage inside.

The combined effect protects ears from infection and discomfort, without affecting surfers', plus swimmers' and paddlers', balance, connection to their environment, and ability to communicate with others. According to SurfEars competitor earplugs can achieve a watertight seal only by cutting away 20dB to 30dB of sound, which they compare to the difference between the loudest and lowest volume settings on a smartphone.

SurfEars 3.0 are the company's newest release, with improved design and comfort. Each set comes pre-assembled with size medium sealing gels, but also includes 2 x size large, 2 x size small, and 2 x size X-small, plus an adjustable leash and a storage case.
