COMBAR FoldaXe Pro
ACLIM8's COMBAR FoldaXe Pro is a Red Dot Award-winning adventurer's multi-tool that integrates the company's FoldaXe base with the knife and saw from their Pro Kit. Beautiful and compact, this new COMBAR is built to help you conquer five of the core outdoor survival tasks: chopping; splitting; hammering; cutting; and sawing.
Closed up for carry, the COMBAR FoldaXe Pro extends 15.75" long, and weighs 900 grams - just under 2 pounds. As the name suggests, the axe portion of the tool has a folding hatchet head. It's made of hardened stainless steel and, at 5" x 2.5", designed specifically for chopping campfire starter and trimming small branches. On the opposite side of the hatchet head is a hammer head, also made of hardened stainless steel. It's largely for hammering tent pegs and wooden stakes, though a textured strike zone provides enough traction and friction for tasks such as beating tree bark into fiber strips and smashing rocks when necessary.
The COMBAR FoldaXe Pro has a hollow, glass-reinforced polymer shaft that serves as the hatchet / hammer head handle, plus houses the multi-tool's survival knife and folding pruning saw. The knife is a fixed-blade, drop-point issue with a 4.53" 420HC stainless steel blade. The saw comes with a 10" 5 TPI high-carbon steel blade for wood pruning.
