Created in Colorado by a group of raft guides, LavaBox is a portable, forest fire safe(r) propane campfire housed inside a military ammo can. It produces no smoke, embers, or ashes, and the amount of firewood and charcoal you have to collect / buy to use one is none. And since the LavaBox passes fire restrictions, you can use it to create your own cozy campfire even during burn bans.

The LavaBox connects to the same type of propane as your backyard grill, via the standard 3/8" flare fitting. Inventor and "Chief Eruption Officer," Josh Thurmond currently has 2 types of the ammo box campfires in productions: the Tabletop Vol-CAN-no; and the Krakatoa FireBreather.

Tabletop Vol-CAN-nos are made from 50 cal. ammo cans filled with 10 Hades stones. Their 11" x 5.5" x 7" size and 8.5-pound weight makes them portable enough to slip in a trunk or strap to a raft, or just set up for "120,000 BTUs of awesome s'more making fire" on the back patio.

The LavaBox in Krakatoa FireBreather form is a big, bad campfire for groups of 10 or more, or single dudes who just want to ignite a can of flames taller than they are. It consists of a 20mm Rocket Box filled with 15 Hades stones.
