Wall Sconce Fly Trap
I do like me some bug zappers. Unfortunately, these Wall Sconce Fly Traps from Faicuk do not zap flies, they capture them in ultra-sticky glue boards. But Faicuk says this method is, in fact, even better, because it eliminates the annoying popping noise that accompanies voltage-injecting bug hunters. I don't know, I kinda like the popping noise. I find it gratifying.
However, Faicuk also refers to their decision to fit Wall Sconce Fly Traps with glue boards as "killing them softly" (shoutout to Roberta Flack and Lauryn Hill) which strikes me as funny enough to reconsider my position on bug zappers.
Wall Sconce Fly Traps come in a few different colors and styles. The one above has a wood grain cover over a pair of Philip tubes that emit UV light. The light is meant to attract flies (and other flying pests) who will then encounter an inescapable adhesive once inside the sconce.
