Cloud Light with Storm Effects
Check It Out

Richard Clarkson's profoundly-titled Cloud defies Mother Nature by hovering amidst indoor skies and venting its beastly thunder and lightning only when inclement weather jibes with your schedule. Such as when you are wooing a lady fireside, not when you have flown 1,500 miles to see Lionel Richie live at an outdoor music festival.

Controlled by a motion-triggered Arduino, Cloud's first selling point is the stormy performance it gives its passersby. When set and signaled, the fixture flickers with lightning, booms with thunder, and provides what Clarkson calls a "semi-immersive lighting experience."

Alternatively, Cloud can serve as a suspended speaker for use in playing personal music collections. In this case, the installation swaps its lightning effects for rhythm-controlled lighting effects. That is, you can turn the beat up, and watch the wattage inside Cloud get down. When wooing a lady with dance party Cloud, I think it would be a good idea to encourage her to groove along with the hanging lamp. If she complies, remind her that dancing is the perpendicular expression of a horizontal desire.
