DFACKTO Rugged Chef's Knife Sets
DFACKTO makes a whole series of burly chef's knives, combining many of them into different collections, including the trio of rugged chef's knife sets I'm spotlighting here. The 11-piece Mobility, 11-piece Nomad, and 16-piece Base Camp sets are built and packaged with camping, off-grid living, and even super shi-shi outdoor kitchens in mind.
While balance, weight, and overall functionality are certainly key to DFACKTO's outdoor knife designs, the company freely admits they didn't shy away from creating an "imposing design [that] commands authority when in use or on display." Knives are flash tempered and acid stonewashed, both to develop their matte finish, plus increase their resistance to rust and corrosion via the stable oxide barrier the finish creates between itself and the high-carbon 5Cr15Mov stainless steel of the blades.
DFACKTO chef's knife handles are made of mil-spec G10 fiber-resin, attached with triple corby bolts. Handles are non-slip during use, and resistant to wet, hot, and cold conditions.
