GMC Sierra 2500 Denali HD All Mountain Concept Truck

I was stoked to be bidding winter good riddance until I saw the blizzard engulfing GMC's wicked Sierra 2500 Denali HD All Mountain. While a concept truck in nature, GMC does have a working prototype of the track-wheeled beast and, in partnership with Vail Resorts, they're putting it on display in Vail later this year. So maybe when the snow and cold roll back in sight, I'll roll myself down to Colorado and take in some Denali All Mountain along with the Rockies.

Obviously this truck's standout feature is its set of customized tracks, which GMC got from Mattracks. They're designed to operate like the ones on a bulldozer or snow grooming machine, giving the truck additional lift and flotation over dirt, mud, and deep powder.

Additional Denali All Mountain Easter Eggs include stylized exterior graphics, bespoke LED accessory lighting, and a customized KICKER amplifier and audio system integrated into the exterior sport bar.

Under the hood, the truck cradles a 6.6-liter Duramax Diesel turbo-diesel V8, which you can also get across GMC's entire Sierra HD range. It's a new engine design that provides 445hp and 910lb-ft of torque. Other range-wide features include: 3" off-road step bars; a soft roll-up tonneau cover; a Thule hitch-mounted ski / bike carrier; and a Lund bed extender.

As far as I know, GMC has no plans to sell the Sierra 2500 Denali HD All Mountain truck to consumers, but if you're jonesing to barrel unstoppable through the snow and up the mountains next winter, you could try doctoring up your existing truck with a set of Track N Go tracks.
