Kapture - Audio-Recording Wristband

Posted: September 09, 2013
Discontinued

Kapture could easily both save and ruin my life. Because the snazzy wristband doesn't just record voices and conversations, it records them all the time. It runs continuously, collecting audio in 60-second buffered loops, but saves a file only when the wearer commands it by tapping the device.

As a life saver, Kapture can help preserve quotable moments, remember important conversations, hold people to their promises, and prove to the girl I like that her boyfriend really is a d-bag. Or prove to a judge that, yep, that cop did in fact call me a worthless sissy mama's boy when he pulled me over. And no, it should not matter that the cop is my brother.

As a life ender, Kapture can also use all of its favorable powers against the same person it benefits if worn on the wrist of someone else.

Kapture is always on and always recording, but, again, needs a tap to save its previous 60 seconds of audio. Once tapped, the saved file downloads in seconds to the user's smartphone for editing with the Kapture app (iOS and Android compatible). There audio spans can be shortened, named, tagged, filtered, and shared.

Kapture seeks Kickstarter crowdfunding through October 3, 2013.
