Bugatti La Voiture Noire
$19 million
Check It Out

Sorry, dudes, someone has already claimed the one and only La Voiture Noire Bugatti plans to produce. But there's good (OK, bittersweet) news too: the "Bugatti enthusiast" who made the purchase handed over $19 million for it, making La Voiture Noire the most expensive new car ever produced and sold. And I don't know about you, but I'd never spend that much on a car. I'm saving my $19 million for a boat.

La Voiture Noire takes inspiration from a Bugatti icon, the 1930s Type 57 SC Atlantic coupe, and has some of the same organs and guts as the Chiron (though not this particular Chiron) including a 16-cylinder, 8-liter engine, which Bugatti calls its "beating heart." The Noire chassis gets its name from a stealthy carbon fiber body, with a center fin added as a nod to the Atlantic's dorsal seam.

Bugatti maestros built the entirety of La Voiture Noire by hand. The endeavor honors the company's 110th anniversary. And proves it's not that hard to get someone to shell out $19 million for a Bugatti.
